Emily Cardin

Pastor Emily Cardin received her Master of Divinity Degree from Iliff School of Theology in 1998, followed by a Certificate of Theological Studies from The Lutheran School of  Theology in Chicago, Illinois in 1999. She was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award for Specialized Ministry from Iliff in 2012 for her extensive work as Pastor of New Beginnings Church (NBC), a prison congregation within the walls of Denver Women's Correctional Facility, the only maximum security prison for women in Colorado. Pastor Emily was not only the pastor for NBC for 9 1/2 years but also a chaplain for the Department of Corrections. Prior to leaving NBC she became a certified Spiritual Director and Interim Minister. She also holds a current Colorado RN license as she was a practicing RN for 24 years in trauma, addictions, maternal health care, and private practice. She believes all are welcome to receive the gifts of God and is honored to offer God's gifts to all.


Pastor Emily lives in Broomfield with her husband, Jebb. They have four beautiful adult children and five practically perfect grandchildren. They enjoy biking, cross country skiing, and traveling!
