Bible Studies, Classes & Retreats

As Lutherans, we believe the Bible is the living Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit. So each and every time we gather to read and study the Word of God more is revealed. All are able to discuss their own interpretations, ask questions, share concerns, and be open to one another with deep love and respect.

Bible Studies

Did you ever want to stump the Pastor? This is a common occurrence at our weekly Bible Studies. As Pastor Emily says, "I am not a biblical scholar but let's study the word of God together!" Due to the engaging cast of characters that attend these studies there is always great discussion with laughter, love, and support. We agree to disagree and still be friends! Bible studies are open to all and are currently offered on Tuesdays at 3:30 pm and Thursdays at 10 am. Bring an open mind, a compassionate heart and your Bible!

Reformation Study

Reformation Sunday is celebrated every fall, with  several opportunities to study Martin Luther's small catechism. Martin Luther's practices and questioning led to the beginning of the reformation of Christian teaching and practices and the evolution of the Lutheran Church.

Women's Retreat

Our annual Women’s Retreat is held in the fall, often at a resort in the Colorado Rockies! Women of all ages attend this spiritual and energizing three-day event, worshiping and glorifying God and His abundant love through Bible Study and Fellowship. Everyone goes home with a renewed sense of faith and love (and some wonderful "goodies").

Enneagram Class

GOG will be holding another Enneagram class this fall.  This class is a fascinating study of discovering who you are, what motivates you and how to best engage with others....all through studying the nine distinct personality types developed by the mystic desert mothers and fathers. We use Helen Palmer, Richard Rohr, Suzanne Stabile and The Enneagram Made Easy as our resources. This is a great way to discover what others have always known about us!
